One other topic to throw out there. In the process of putting the ride schedule together we add the Earth Day ride which starts at Jerome Fire Equipment. I contacted them to ensure they were still okay with us using their parking lot. They were okay as long as we moved the planned Friday 10 AM ride to a Wednesday night 6 PM start which got rolled into the schedule prior to posting,

Russell Jerome had a concern about insurance in particular would Jerome be covered by OCC”s insurance in case there is an incident on their property. I wasn’t sure so I wanted to get some feedback from other board members on that. The ride isn’t until late in the year (around Labor Day +/- a couple of weeks) so if we don’t have a satisfactory answer for Jerome we could move the start or substitute with another ride.

That does bring up a larger question about the locations we use to park for our rides. I don’t know if we’ve ever had an incident in the parking area but I think we should talk about to be sure we’re covered as well as the property owners of our ride start areas.
