Do you have any examples of requests that you've received for sponsorship or an advertising opportunity that you liked that I could reference for a re-write?

I perceive the challenge is balancing the message of "we're a 501c3 looking for a charitable donation" and "here's a great opportunity for your advertising dollars." If you look at big sponsors like Gu or Oakley, unless you're Peter Sagan level, they only donate to the former, but others may find the latter more appealing.

I can always craft two different letters depending on what a potential sponsor/donor/supporter is looking for? Would two different letters be potentially confusing or mix the message?

I know i miss some of the conversation on the race, but the term sponsorship is no longer used. When a possible contributor hears the term sponsorship, they think loss of money. The new term to use to properly attract potential contributors is "advertising opportunity".  This way it can hit their marketing people that are hired to spend money in just this way.

Wanted to add my 2¢ because this is something that i deal with on a regular basis with my race support program and my race teams.

Subject: [occ_race_comm] Sponsorship Documents

Hello Everyone,

Attached, please find the generic sponsorship request letter and details about various sponsorship levels. Any and all feedback is encouraged. I'm primarily looking to see if there is anything I missed and if the sponsorship levels appear feasible both in terms of the amounts we are asking for and our ability to deliver on what we are promising.

Specifically:

1.) Can we provide all of the electronic sponsorship plugging we're mentioning, such as, adding an event sponsorship section with links to our sponsor websites and creating an electronic banner with the logos of the sponsors on our homepage (I'm thinking we use the logo provided by Dave Van Wie surrounded by the logos of the sponsors for that appropriate level)?
2.) Will the Criterium & TT Venue have enough space to accommodate sponsor tents (I'm thinking 10x10 spaces with a couple feet between tents)? How many spaces do you think we'll have at the venue? What venues are we currently exploring?

These two are the big promises.

Thank you in advance for your time and feedback
