Turned out to be a beautiful night for the Time Trial !!

The skies remained sunny, the temperature hovered around 75 degrees and the west winds dropped a bit to around 10 mph for the most part. There were some gusts at 15-20 mph to keep it interesting.  Our start was delayed by about 20 minutes due to a two-car accident that had occurred on the course 1.5 miles from the start.  The delay cost us one participant who was on a tight schedule.  Nine riders waited out the delay and started under the caution flag.  Luckily the road was completely clear as they came through the accident zone.   

Even with the breeze, there were five PRs established.  We also had two first timers participate.  The course for the repeat riders was on average 17 seconds faster than two weeks ago under similar conditions.

The fastest time was owned by Tiago Barreira, who blasted through the course in 23:38 (25.39 mph). He just missed a PR by 5 seconds. The fastest woman time was performed by 12 year old Mariana Rinaldo, who clocked another PR (by 38 seconds) with a time of 29:22 (20.43 mph)!! 

Our two first-timers ended up doing "recon" of the course as they were riding so fast that they each missed a turn. Both vowed to be back to conquer the course in two weeks.
