It turned out to be a beautiful night for the Time Trial,  again !!      

Sound familiar?    The forecast lived up to its billing and we had a fabulous night to hammer the Time Trial course.  The good news is that we had four new riders venture out last night.  The bad news is that only three repeat customers showed up.  And unfortunately one these three forgot his cycling shoes and opted to run instead of riding the course in running shoes. We did have an additional rider self time himself because he was on a tight schedule and had to start while I was sweeping the corners on the course. Thus, the total attendance was eight riders.

The Lows showed up with their tandem and annihilated the course with a time of 22:45  (26.37 mph).  They own the course record by a Human Powered Vehicle and, of course, the fastest Tandem.  Dave Grieves fresh off of his Dante East ride on Sunday took the FMT honors with a 24:31 (24.47 mph).  Nothing like some 20% hills two days before a TT to supercharge the legs. Mariana Rinaldo was the fastest woman/junior with a time of 30:31 (19.66 mph) sans aero bars. 

The last scheduled Time Trial at the East location is on September 15th.   I will consider hosting a time trial next Tuesday on the 8th, if I get enough people to email me their commitment to show up. Lets get at least 10 people!!
