Good weather for the ride last night. Moderate temperatures in the low 70s that cooled to the high 60s by the end of the ride. The brisk NE wind was welcomed on the climb up Rt 91. I know there were at least two PRs set on the climb last night. Gotta put an asterisk next to that one.
The last minute ride start change allowed the majority of the riders to complete the long ride, which was about 32 miles long. Thanks to Glen Larson who volunteered to man the original start location to let any one who showed up there to go to the new start location. I believe there was only two people that had to be redirected. Glen opted to MTB in the Skytop area and I'm happy to report he arrived home with all of his teeth.
So, now the statistics:
17 opted to do the long ride - 32 miles
1 did 27 miles
1 did 21 miles
19 total riders
Total miles rode: 592 miles
I am not aware of any mechanical issues and everyone appeared to arrive safely. One crazed doe did its best to hit one of the riders in my group, but missed. And shortly thereafter two small dogs decided to dance with us in the middle of the road. All riders managed to dosey-doe their way around the ankle biters.
