I saw this and would like to put in my two cents for an organization I volunteer with and yes, I know I have no Board vote, but I do like to get the word out about them because I believe in what they do.
The Samaritan Center is a non-profit in Syracuse, recently moved to the unoccupied St. John’s Cathedral on James St, that serves meals daily to anyone that needs one. They ask no questions and can have well
over 200 people for a meal, families included. During the week they serve breakfast and dinner and on weekends dinner. They rely on contributions from local establishments (Panera and Wegmans), farmers and groups (churches, groups, corporations). They have
an annual fundraiser and other events like most non-profits to raise money. The Food Bank also provides assistance although I don’t know the extent of this donation. To add to that, the staff is very helpful, caring and they do many things to try to help
their ‘guests’ besides provide a meal. http://www.samcenter.org/
So just a thought, but again, I realize there are many good things going on in the community and have even volunteered for some of these organizations. If you need a contact at Sam Center, I can gladly provide
it.

I agree with Tom about the local charity, and any of those he listed would be fine with me.
I would prefer a local charity like Food Bank or something like these:
Rescue Mission
Francis House
Vera House
Syracuse Habitat for Humanity
Tom
Thomas J. Fucillo
Counselor at Law
Menter, Rudin & Trivelpiece, P.C.
Counselors at Law
308 Maltbie Street, Suite 200
