Hi all, Sorry I haven't sent this out much earlier; after the last race meeting I had to head out to LA for the week and today I'm on my way to Minneapolis for the rest of this week (it's tough to catch-up when you're never home). Nothing earth shattering at the last meeting...we found a couple of typos on the race flyer that we corrected. Generally we have all of the basics covered (race routes, logistics,etc), and our Chief Referee has okayed our criterium course at the state fair. Our most pressing issues are: Volunteers: As usual we're currently short on volunteers.  In addition to e-mailing past volunteers I've been pitching everyone at the OCC rides I've attended and I've asked ride leaders to do the same.  If you know anyone/groups, etc. please do your best to cajole them in to volunteering for the race.They can sign-up on BikeReg,and there is information on the OCC home page, or you can give them my contact information. Weather: the 10-day forecast doesn't look great for race weekend; scattered showers and thunderstorms.  There isn't much we can do about it, but historically we get about 70% of our registrations in the last three days before registration closes(people like to check the weather before signing up for a race).  So it could be a significant hit to final registration numbers. Last up, for those that are available, I'd like to have a final race meeting this Sunday at 6:00 pm to go over final details.  I know it's Father's Day so no problem if you're already busy.
