Hi Karen,

I will update the start times for the century rides to 8:00 and look into adding the 25-mile option for the 4th of July ride.

Regarding the start locations, I am not personally familiar with Wellwood School or Lewis Park. However, I will review the affected routes to look into making those changes.

Best regards,

Doug Bray

Looking quickly at the schedule, I think we traditionally start all century rides at 8:00.

Also we need to add a 25 mile option to the 4th of July ride - it’s a tradition I started five years ago and proves to be popular every year. I’ll look at what we did last year and circle back on that.

Can we PLEASE stop using the Wellwood School in Fayetteville as a start location. It’s a crappy ride back in. If we can change Brewerton starts to the lighthouse, it seems like we should be able to make this change too. Starting at Lewis Park in Minoa avoids the half missing miniscule shoulders on 257 and getting stuck at multiple traffic lights in town when you are ready to be DONE. I truly believe this starting point is a safety hazard with road conditions and traffic congestion on the way back. The roads into Lewis Park are quiet and easily navigated. A major complaint I hear is the Club’s reluctance to make adjustments to routes based on changes in traffic patterns since the rides were first introduced many years ago. I can point to the Brewerton and Central Square starts in response - but I think this is another one that needs to be addressed.

Thanks,

Karen Kelly
