I wasn’t necessarily thinking a sponsor had to be a media member. Maybe a Byrne Dairy , since chocolate milk is the new recovery drink or a Marks pizza that seems to be popping up everywhere. We had Bud Poliquin do a story on the race one and we bought some time with a radio station one year and did 150 spots and a radio interview to get some interest. Chuck, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. #1) That's a good though although off the top of my head I'm not sure who that would be. Over the years we've contacted the Syracuse newspapers but they have had zero interest in anything to do with the race. We can certainly contact the various media companies in the area. Just some thoughts I have about the 2018 race. I have been doing a lot of rides with only my Strava as a companion so lots of thoughts jump into my otherwise idle mind. #1 We need a sponsor that we can get the race info through out to the public. They would be a partner and not necessarily have any financial involvement. #2 Condense the crit into a few categories. Maybe put all the low number entry categories together in one race early.
