Just A quick update. We have secured a a pavilion in Marcellus Park for the TT. It is reserved from 2 pm on. The cost is $120 and the check should be mailed to the Town of Marcellus or I can deliver it with the completed paper work. There is a local pizza shop that can provide us with pizza, pasta and salad for the after race meal. This could offer us some sponsorship opportunities in the Village if we want to pursue that. Sponsorship - I typed up a letter and sponsorship levels and sent it out to everyone. Todd spoke with Jeremy, reviewed the docs I sent, and provided criticism. I accepted all criticisms, revised the documents, and will start contacting sponsors. Do you have any examples of requests that you've received for sponsorship or an advertising opportunity that you liked that I could reference for a re-write?I perceive the challenge is balancing the message of "we're a 501c3 looking for a charitable donation" and "here's a great opportunity for your advertising dollars." I know i miss some of the conversation on the race, but the term sponsorship is no longer used. When a possible contributor hears the term sponsorship, they think loss of money.
