Subject: Please Help Us Identify Bike and Pedestrian Behavior-Related Safety Issues!

Dear Bicycle and Pedestrian Community Interest Group:

The Syracuse Metropolitan Transportation Council (SMTC) is working to identify the top 3 to 5 behavior-related safety issues pertaining to drivers, walkers, and bicyclists.  The SMTC may use this information to develop a public safety campaign.  Campaign messages would target those who commute to and from work by walking, bicycling, or driving.

Please take one to two minutes to respond to our short survey on behavior-related safety issues.  And please feel free to note any issues that we may have missed.  The link to the survey is: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BikePedSafetyQuestionnaire.

The SMTC is also reviewing existing PSA campaigns in the public domain to: 1) see which ones could be used locally, and 2) help determine if new messages need to be created.  We welcome PSA campaign suggestions that you would like us to review and consider.

Please provide any comments, ideas, questions, or suggestions to Michael Alexander via e-mail at malexander@PROTECTED or via phone at 315-422-5716.  We ask that all comments be provided by Friday, April 15, 2016.  Please feel free to forward this survey to anyone you feel might be interested in responding.  Thank you.

We appreciate your feedback.

Thank you,

-Mike
