Bicycle Commuting Workshop
Saturday, April 30th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Would you like to commute to your work or school, but aren’t sure you’re prepared to do it? Do you know someone who might lack the confidence or skills to get started?
The Bicycle Commuting 101 workshop will break down the fundamentals of bike commuting – from sharing knowledge on everything from what to wear, route planning, on-road safety, and much more.
Part of the workshop will feature an optional 3 to 5 mile ride to practice technique and obtain further on-bike instruction.
We hope that you will join us… and invite your friends, families, and co-workers to come along!
Taught by the New York Bicycling Coalition in collaboration with Bike CNY. Two League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructors (LCI’s) will be leading the workshop.
This workshop is best-suited for riders over 18 years of age, though skilled riders as young as 16 will be considered. Please use the Contact Page to contact us with questions.
Indoor Presentation at Mello Velo Bicycle Shop, 556 Westcott Street, Syracuse 13210. An on-road component is included and recommended, but is not required.
