Another fantastic night for the Time Trial!
Sunny skies, temps in the mid-80s and a nice 8 mph NW. Again, giving the TTers a nice push up the slopes of the first half of the course.
Only eight riders rolled to the start today. I guess a lot of people were still recovering from the Fourth of July weekend. We did have two more new riders try out the course!
The fastest rider of the night was Gordy Pynn who ripped through the course with a 26:34 (24.16 mph). The fastest woman was Alisa Rosenbaum who was clocked at 31:52 (20.14 mph). Steve Plante and Sean Kesselring established PRs for the Lafayette course last night.
On average, this week (3rd week in Lafayette) the course ran about the same as last week (week 2), which was a bit slower than week 1. We really couldn't have asked for better conditions for the three week review of the Syracuse Race Weekend TT course.
Speaking of the Race Weekend... if you haven't done so already, strongly consider volunteering for the one or more of the events on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It's a great way to see a bike race! Next week we will be back to the Chittenango course unless the county crews decide to oil and stone more of our course. I'll keep you posted.
