We had spectacular conditions for the Time Trial.
The temperature hovered around 90 degrees, but the winds had faded to a whisper....
Twelve riders rolled to the start line - four were new to the Chittenango TT course.
When Alex Johnson blew through the finish line with a PR (by 26 seconds) of 23:04 I figured we
had our fastest man time. But, I hadn't counted on course newby Dave Tate destroying the course with a
22:56 (26.17 mph) and posting the fastest time of 2016. Way to go Dave! And great effort Alex!
Our fastest woman was Amy Kneale who posted a PR (by 8 seconds) of 26:03 (23.04mph). She was closely followed by the non-aero Emily Elbers at 26:05 (23.01mph). Our fastest youth was Mariana Rinaldo with a 30:26 (19.71 mph).
We had three riders set PRs last night. I have already mentioned Alex and Amy. Gordy Pynn, inspired by the Tour de France coverage, smashed his previous best by 49 seconds, with a blistering 23:43 (25.30 mph) !!
