Hi Everyone,

It was a great night to get out and spin the wheels…perfect weather and a great group.  There were 54 members and 3 guests who turned out for the evening, resulting in a total of  57 riders.  These 57 riders covered a total of 954 miles.  Checking my records, the 57 riders tied the record for attendance at the ride set on June 21^st of this year.  Thanks to everyone that came out.

We had our usual variety of rides last night.  Tom Hotaling was away but Dale Barnell and his assistant John did a great job of leading their group on a 22 mile challenge loop that Tom had selected for the night.  Mike Lyon chose to lead his intermediate group on a tour that took them out toward  Memphis and back covering 22 miles also.  Mark Perrin of The Bikery and his co-leaders Dean Connery, Roland Pearson and Al Storings led the easy all highway loop that covered 10 and 13 mile loops.  I had the canal group that covered 10 miles on the towpath and highway.  Everyone seemed to have a good time on all the rides.

There were a couple of flats reported.  Isaac Paz was one of the unlucky ones and picked up a nasty flat that cut the side wall of his tire.  There is a lot of debris on the roads that can do a number on your tires. Watch out!
