Hi Everyone,
Last night’s SnE ride brought out 46 members for the ride. No guests showed up L. The group rode a total of 800 miles.
The rides consisted of our usual mix of rides. Tom Hotaling, ably assisted by Peg, led the more experience group of riders on a 24 mile loop. Mike Lyon took his group of intermediate riders on the reverse of last week’s ride for a total of 21 miles.
Mark Perrin of the Bikery returned with his normal group of assistants that included Dean Connery, Roland Pearson and Al Storings. These guys kept the group together for the easy 10 mile highway ride. I led the canal/highway ride last night and we went down to Memphis and back covering a total of 15 miles. I wanted to get this route in before the days got too short. As it was, it was getting kind of dark on our arrival…but we got it in.
I believe we had one flat and the rider packed it in for the night. There was a good selection of treats including melon, cookies and brownies last night. Thanks to all who took the effort to bring them in…much appreciated by me and your fellow riders…thanks!
I hope to see you all again next week along with a number of regulars who did not make it last night. We are running out of weeks, so get them in while you can.
Ciao,
Tony
