Hi Everyone,

My weather forecast was half right and half wrong last night.  There were a few sprinkles as a fast moving dark cloud passed over before the ride but then it cleared and the sun came out. About half of the riders chose the 10 mile slow and easy highway ride while most of the other half chose to ride with Mike Lyon.  The 2 guests, Mary Mariano’s grand children, did a partial on the canal route with grandma.  We had 22 members and 2 guests for a total of 22 riders.  Not much of a showing but considering the weather…not that badJ.  They rode a total of 244 miles.

Like I said earlier half right:  the 10 milers led by Mark Perrin of the Bikery with his support team of Dean Connery, Roland Pearson and Al Storrings made if back dry and were able to enjoy some cold watermelon as an after ride treat.  Went down easy in the heat and humidity.  On the half wrong side:  Mike Lyon’s group came in with a downpour and soaked…but they still enjoyed the melon as the rain came to an end after their arrival.  This was a 23 mile ride and a trio that took a wrong turn made it into 28 miles with a visit to Jordan.

Everyone made it safely back to the park and I did not hear about any flats or mechanicals.  Thanks to all you brave souls who ventured out last night…our first rainy ride of the season.  Not bad at all!
