Dear Mary,

Please be the substitute leader for the bicycle ride on
Saturday, August 27. I can walk as far as two miles but not
without pain during and afterward. The doctor who did the
operation said that I should not ride a bicycle before meeting
with his assistant on August 30.

I see you are the ride leader for this coming Saturday; Rudy's.  I am checking to see how you both are feeling and if you are able to be there. If not I can be the substitute leader.  Let me know when you can and we all miss seeing both of you.  Also per Barb's request I expressed to everyone how much the greetings and cards were loved and appreciated.
