It’s amazing what a change in weather will do for ride attendance. Tonight with a temperature of around 70 degrees, no rain and no wind, we had our largest attendance of the year: 1 guest and 46 members for a total of 47 riders. These riders covered a total of 749 miles on 4 different routes.
Tom Hotaling lead his group over option #4 and covered 22 miles while Mike Lyon covered 21 miles with his less challenging route. Mark Perrin of The Bikery with Dean Connery led an easy 10 mile all highway route while Roland Pearson and Al Storrings took a group out along the canal tow path and returned on the highway for another easy 10 mile loop.
I was aware of one flat tire and no other mechanical problems. Chef Roland Pearson treated tonight’s riders to a loaf of his delicious lemon blueberry bread as well as a loaf of his chocolate chip zucchini bread. All that was left were crumbs.
Thanks for coming out to ride tonight. Bring a friend next week.
Ciao,
Tony
