What a great night to ride last night!  Perfect weather conditions  and a great group of riders…what more could one ask for?

We had 48 members and 2 guests come out for a total of 50 riders.  As I said before…what a difference the weather makes on attendance. This was our largest turnout so far for the 2017 season.  The 50 riders covered a total of 971 miles.

The riders chose from 4 different rides.  The hardiest of the group chose to ride with Tom Hotaling who took them on a 25 mile loop that tested their mettle.  Mike Lyon was away on business but Glen Larson volunteered to lead an intermediate group on Mike’s route with an extension to 24 miles.  Mark Perrin of The Bikery and Dean Connery led the easy highway group but were unable to extend the route beyond the 10 miles last night due to the work on the bridge.  Lastly, I led the 10 mile canal route with backup from Roland Pearson and Al Storrings.  Since this was my first ride since my surgery, they wanted to make sure that there was someone to lead the riders in the event I could not do the full route…but I didJ.

Everyone had fun and there were no reported flats or mechanical problems.  Thanks to all those who came out and hopefully we’ll see you next week.  I hope our guests enjoyed the ride enough to join the club.
