Welcome to June!

The OCC summer cycling season ramps up this month with lots of great rides and events!

First up is the Ironman warm-up ride this Saturday, June 3rd.   Even if you're not planning to race a full or half Ironman, you should definitely plan to head out to Jamesville Beach on Saturday for this great event.The ride has a 56 mile route starting at 9:30 am and a 22 mile route starting at 10:30 am.  We'll also be doing a short skills clinic at 10:00 am and everyone will enjoy a post-ride BBQ at the finish. For forecast for Saturday looks dry, so register at the OCC Store.

The big event comes at the end of June with our annual Syracuse Race Weekend, with four great events over three days.  We start on Friday June 23rd with the Hill Climb at Beak & Skiff Apple Farm and wrap-up on Sunday hosting the NYS Road Race Championship in Tully.As always we're looking for OCC members, family and friends to continue to help make this a great event and to volunteer to help out with the race.  We need volunteers for each event, and even if you only have a couple hours to spare, it still makes a big difference.  You can select a position and event on BikeReg,or contact me via the e-mail/number below.

Make sure you check-out the OCC Ride Calendar to make your June cycling plan.  We literally have ride every day this month with mountain bike rides every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Slow ' Easy rides, Tuesday Time Trials,our famous Wednesday rides, and the weekend rides.  For those that might not be aware, when we plan the weekend rides, we try to make the Saturday route the flatter of the two.
