Below was the message that went out at 5:15pm last night...  except it went to me, instead of the list serv.  Doh!

I had made a final check of the radar from my house in Manlius at 5:10pm.  It appeared to be raining very hard on the TT course.  I cancelled.  But, of course, no one saw that.

Then the sun came out!   And I found myself muttering feverishly "can't get fooled again!, can't get fooled again!...."  (see Bush reference below for context).

I received an email from Stephanie telling me that she and Ron Nelson rode the TT course and only faced droplets on the final stretch!!    And it was a fast night!      I, indeed, was fooled again!

The next Time Trial will be July 11th.

Heavy rain is falling on the course  at this time.  Temp is 55 degrees.   I'm pulling the plug on the TT tonight.

Okay.  Mother Nature is playing games with me.   Now we are seeing light rain starting up again and ending around 6:00pm.

I'll drive out to the start. If the roads are thoroughly wet, I will cancel the TT.    If not, the show shall go on!

The forecast has improved in the last hour....   supposedly it will be cloudy with only 15% chance of showers.   Temps will be cool   59 degrees.  There will be a 9 mph breeze out of the West.     So, lets do it!!!!


Also, next Tuesday, July 4th, there will NOT be a Time Trial.

Time Trial location:   Chittenango


Our streak of uncertain weather for the Tuesday night Time Trial continues again tomorrow.  We'll see how this plays out.   There is a 50% chance of Tstorms all afternoon.I'll monitor the radar and send out a notice mid-afternoon.  We've been here before and things have worked out fine.

If you can't get to your email later this afternoon, send me a txt if you are wondering if we are a GO or not.


Time Trial course details:
The course is 10.0 miles long, extremely flat and consists of only right hand turns.  In brief, it starts at the end of Chestnut Ridge near Lakeport Rd, runs west 3.0 miles to a right on Marsh Mill, at approx 5.0 miles a right turn on Kirkville Rd, almost immediately turn on to Moore Rd, 2.0 miles later at approx 7.0 mile mark turn right on Smith Ridge Rd, approx 1.0 mile later turn right on Black Creek Rd. and finish approx 2 miles later.  
Parking is available nearby the Starting Line at Demario Farms .  Please park against the grass (but not on it) and away from the entrances.   Please Do Not park in the New York Bus Sales parking lot.
