Hi Everyone,
The next Slow ‘n Easy West ride is scheduled for Tuesday July 18, 2017 and leaves from the west end parking lot of Reed Webster Park in Camillus, located on Warners Rd (Rt 173), promptly at 6:00 PM. Please arrive early so that you can sign in and be ready to depart on time.
The forecast for Tuesday is somewhat indefinite: Accuweather is predicting “Humid with periods of sun and clouds; a shower or thunderstorm in spots in the afternoon”. They are predicting a high of 82. I can’t honestly say what it will be like on Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM. It could be nice…or…it could be Syracuse. Check your emails late in the afternoon to see what we plan to do. This sounds pretty similar to last week and that turned out really nice. J
The OCC Slow ‘n Easy (East or West) rides provide a safe, non-intimidating cycling experience for riders of all skill levels with people who are always willing to help in sharing the fun. The ride(s) offers a variety of route/ride options that have various skill and ability levels allowing us to better match rider experience levels so that there is something for everyone. All of our rides are “no drop” rides so you won’t get left behind. We want to help you to get into cycling while giving you the best experience possible. If you had bad experiences in the past, don’t judge us from those experiences. These are fun rides with fun people.
This ride is open to all members of the club as well as non-members who have an interest in the sport. (Remember, if you have not yet renewed your membership from 2016…you are not a member and must sign in as a guest.) Guests are encouraged to join us on a ride and see if they like what we offer. If they do enjoy the ride, then we invite them to become a member so that they can take advantage of all the other club rides and activities during the year. Our insurance only allows us to have guests ride once during the season. Membership applications are available at rides or on line at our web site.
All riders, both members and guests, are required to wear a DOT approved bike helmet for these rides. If you don’t have one, you can buy one at your favorite bike shop or sporting goods store. No helmet…no ride...no exceptions…our insurance requires it. Riding without a helmet can be very dangerous.
So, join us this Tuesday evening for the next S’nE West ride.

I will not bring my canal bike unless I hear from someone that they want to do the canal route. Just email me with your intentions. If there are no riders for the canal, I will tag along on Mark’s easy highway route. See you all Tuesday evening.
Ciao,
Tony
PS: Don’t forget the “buy a bike promotion” is still in place with local bike shops. If you have never been a member of the club and you purchase a new bike from one of our local bike shops, we will give you a free single membership for the remainder of 2017. This excludes bike purchases from Walmart and other big box stores as well as sporting goods stores. If you have question, check with us first.
