Coming to Netflix tomorrow... Icarus.
Filmmaker and cyclist Brian Fogel set out to make himself a case study in how a competitive athlete on steroids can elude detection. But then the experiment put him in touch with a better lead character: Russian physician Grigory Rodchenkov. The gleefully corrupt doctor folds Fogel right into the cheating system he devised to help Russia at the 2014 Olympics, then turns whistleblower by revealing the operation to the world and putting blame on the Vladimir Putin. The tense tail reveals deep corruption in the sports world, and bills on Putin's dark legend.
