I serviced my rear DT Swiss 2 Pawl Onyx hub from about 2002. My first time, but I think it went well.
It appears to me that one can't put too much grease on the pawls or in the free-hub body (or "rotor" as DT calls it). Too much grease or too sticky of a grease seems to interfere with the pawls and takes nearly all of the "click" away when spinning the free-hub. Yet, grease is needed, of course.
Anybody had any experience with this? Am I correct about not using too much or too sticky of a grease?
