To those looking for the next challenge, here is a ride that was well worth the trip, ‘Storming of Thunder Ridge’ in Lynchburg VA, an extremely well organizer ride, with 5 fully stocked rest stops, multiple SAG wagons, a mobile repair shop that floats between rest stops, a well marked course, extremely friendly and helpful support people, plenty of swag, good after food, the use of the YMCA after, 5-600 new friends and the best part the ride through the rolling Virginia country side, oh did I mention the 21 mile climb to the top of the hill with a short break at mile 18 and the rippingest down hill run back down to the valley floor, followed by more rollers I only did the 76 so I can’t report on “The Sausage Grinder” on the 100 mile route Check it out and if you go, a compact front rules the day Glen PS: I am know down there for my pink socks, lol
