The forecast is looking pretty bad for the TT tonight - Thunderstorms all day and evening. I'll take a look at the forecast to see it if has improved before I make the call to cancel. The potential good news is that the wind is supposed to be 13 mph out of the SSE direction. This is the most favorable direction.
I'll keep you posted!
Tour Note:
Today, Tomorrow and Thursday are mountain stages. Tomorrow is a unique stage. Get this! Only 40 miles long, BUT, 10,000 feet of climbing!!! Bob Roll mentioned the amount of climbing in the stage a few days ago and I thought he was exaggerating. I looked at the profile and it is indeed 10,000 ft of climbing. That works out to be 250ft/mile !!! Equivalent to a 40 mile climb at 5%. That is just about equivalent to one of the largest vertical climbs in the world Haleakala , Hawaii, which climbs 10,023 ft in 35.5 miles.
