Hi Everyone,

We completed our Slow ‘n Easy West Rides for 2018 a few weeks ago.  This has had to have been our most well attended year since our inception.  It may be the engineer in me but I am always interested in what the numbers are telling me and this year’s numbers say you like we offer on Tuesday evenings…something for all interests.

There were only two nights that we felt it was necessary to cancel the ride for safety reasons due to the foul weather.  This was not as bad as 2014 when we cancelled 5 rides due to rain and safety concerns…that was the year it seemed like it rained every Tuesday!  The third night that we did not ride was the day before the 4^th due to the large number of folks who travel as well as giving our ride leaders time around the holiday with their families.  But…there were 18 other nights that we did ride.  We rode a total of 14,763 miles for the season or an average of 820 miles per night.

We had great turnouts this year which I primarily attribute to strong rider interest along with some nice dry weather.  It may have been a little on the warm side some nights but it usually cooled when the sun set.  Our average number of riders was a little over 45 riders per night with our largest turnout of 61 riders on June 12^th.  The records indicate this to be an all time high turnout for the SNEW rides.
