10th ANNIVERSARY RIDE

Hello Past SOTR Climbers!!!

The first email was a test to see who was paying attention -  registration for the 2019 ride opens tomorrow.. and YES the BRP has approved us for 650 riders this year!!!!  

I hope this email finds you all healthy and happy.  Thanks so much for supporting SOTR in the past.  May 19th will be the 10TH riding of SOTR.   We expect to grow in numbers again this year and much of our growth is a direct result of you telling your friends about our event.  So-- Many Thanks!!!   We also won the Reader's Choice Award for the 2018 BEST LOCAL ATHLETIC EVENT from the News and Advance (Our local newspaper) -  It was a great honor to win and thanks to all of you that voted for us!

We will offer five route options -- 27, 45, 49, 75, and 100 miles.  Tested the last two years was a 49 mile route called The Mountain Only - this route gives riders the option of doing the climb & descent only (involves driving to a remote starting location in Sedalia).   Indoor and Outdoor Camping Saturday night (May 18th) and lots of support during the ride and lots of fun afterwards.   The YMCA will be ours for the day - swimming, showers, hot tub, massage -- a great venue!

Early registration opens at MIDNIGHT -- Dec 1st... (Tonight!)   You will save $$$  by registering prior to Jan 1st --  Rates are only $60 in December --  so please don't delay, help us to plan, and ensure you get in -- registration is capped at 750 riders by the Blue Ridge Parkway.
