Well, Mother Nature finally blessed us with a pleasant evening with sunny skies. Considering the abundant amount of lousy weather we've been having, I'd be nit-picking if I complained about the blustery breeze from the WNW that buffeted the TTers last night.
Four TTers toed the line to lay down their benchmark ride of the year. Alex Johnson effectively sliced through the wind with a time of 24:28 (24.53mph) to take FMT honors. Karen Busse had a strong outing with a 27:00 (22.22 mph) to take FWT. Junior Mariana Rinaldo's HS indoor track work combined with her winter bike training has paid dividends as she broke her non-aero bike PR by 7 seconds with a time of 29:02 (20.66mph).
RESULTS:
| Rank | First Name | Last Name | Category | Total Time | Avg Speed | Comments |
| 1 | Alex | Johnson | TTBike | 24:28 | 24.53 | FMT |
| 2 | Karen | Busse | TTBike | 27:00 | 22.22 | FWT |
| 3 | Mariana | Rinaldo | Road | 29:02 | 20.66 | PR by 7 secs |
| 4 | Jill | Walsh | 3-wheel | 31:02 | 19.34 | |
I'd estimate the wind conditions slowed the times down by 20-40 seconds.
Let's hope this highly variable weather settles down and provides us with ideal conditions.
Til next Tuesday!
