Hey everyone, here are some OCC news tidbits:
Ride recap: Our weeknight rides have come to an end due to the early sunsets.

When the weather was nice, we had great turnouts at our Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening rides. Thanks to everyone who came out to join us! We still have about a month left of our weekend rides, so there are plenty of opportunities left to do some outdoor road bike riding. I know that many of you are transitioning to mountain bike riding now. Be sure to check out the cool new trail extensions at Green Lakes, spearheaded by our friends at CNY-Dirt.
Cyclocross: Yes, it’s crazy cyclocross season! There are many events to take part in, including a race we co-sponsor with BonkWerx. The race will be held at Longbranch park on Oct 19th and 20th. We’ll be sending out more information in the coming weeks, including a request for volunteer help.
Elections: Next month we will be having elections for the 2019-2020 Board of Directors. All current members of the club will receive an email ballot at that time. Please take the time to vote

Winter Training Facility (WTF): Ok, Shoppingtown Mall is a ghost town now, but the WTF is still there and ready for the indoor season. More info to come, but classes generally start in early November.
Next year’s ride calendar: We are hard at work putting together next year’s ride calendar. The feedback we received about this year's earlier start times in August was pretty evenly split between people who liked the 8:00am weekend starts (or wanted even earlier) and those who preferred a 9:00am start. In an effort to accommodate all members, we will have a four-week period next summer where the Saturday/Sunday rides start at 8:00am. This will happen the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August.
That's all for now!
Happy riding,
Colleen Farrell
