Putting out an appeal to amateur bike maintenance members looking to volunteer some time for a much needed cause. I need some maintenance and repair help. The annual bike giveaway is August 25. New this year, Jan Maloff is partnering with Syracuse police to help them make connections with children and their parents in the communities they patrol. They will be giving away the bikes to help this much needed relationship. The bikes are at the old Burlington Coat Factory in Drivers Village in north Syracuse. Many of these donated bikes need just minor repairs and maintenance like new bike tubes. If you are looking for a feel good volunteer activity and can change a tire, replace broken pedals, fix brakes, your time is needed. Monday through Saturday 10:00 - 4:00 or later if needed.
