It was another great night for a ride, weather wise. We had 20 members and 2 guests ride last night a total of 436 miles. Had one flat, which showed me I had totally forgotten how to convert my pump from Presta to Schrader. Thanks to Glen Larson for helping. I also realized that I had forgotten why the SnE rides were started, to encourage new riders to participate. The start of my ride had a few, at least to me, relatively small climbs. We had a couple of people that started out on ~23 mile ride only to go back after about 5-6 miles. It’s likely that one will not be returning. Since we did have a group that went out for a slower 10-12 mile ride, which would have been more suited to their abilities, my explanation of the different rides and the level of difficulty must have not been clear. I will do my best to see that this won’t happen in the future.
