Great weather means a great turnout. There were 80 riders: 20 – 11, 37 – 22, 62 – 22, 100 – 25. There were no reported mechanicals etc. However, there was a problem with the turn from Gorham onto Vinegar Hill. This was caused by two factors. One was the written cues. While downloaded directly from Ride-with-GPS they were wrong. Secondly, the heavy tractor traffic ran over the arrow. While it is still there, it looks old and worn.
Want to thank the volunteers from Road 2 Recovery CNY who manned both of the rest stops; Rudy’s for every year allowing us to use their facilities; Bob Spear, for the Nth time, drove me around to paint those arrows. It goes so much faster with 2.
You can still donate ($5 increments) to these deserving charities, Road 2 Recovery CNY and Friends of Pleasant Valley Preserve.
