The conditions Tuesday night were quite good... the breezed died down to less than 5mph and the temperature was around 73 degrees.  I'd rate it an 8.5/10. 

We had 9 riders show up to ride the Race of Truth. We had one newby show up,  Welcome Matt!

Tiago Barreira dusted off his rocket ship and blasted through the course in a FMT time of 22:33 (26.62mph).  Only 33 seconds off of his PR which was 3rd fastest course time ever that he set last year.   Ron Nelson must not have like my comment last week about him being so consistent -  he crushed his PR by 22 seconds !    His time was 23:44 (25:28mph). Somehow he is managing to get faster after 60 years old -2018 PR: 24:20, 2019: 24:18, 2020: 24:06, 2021: 23:44 !   If he keeps up that progression he'll have the course record by 70 yo. Chris LaMothe's placed 3rd with a time of 24:14 (24.76mph), which is only 15 seconds short of his PR.  Mariana Rinaldo took the FWT honors with a personal best of 27:58 (21.46mph). 

Great start to the season for everyone!     

Next week it's going to heat up with a projected high of 90 degrees.   Throw in some humidity and low winds and we may have ideal TT conditions.  

Thanks to Karrie Rinaldo for wo-manning the backup timing system as I managed to fat-finger the time stamp several times on my laptop. It was invaluable for back filling some times for me.
