Hi Matt,
We meet at Reed Webster park on Warners Road in Camillus. We ride out in groups at 6:00. We advise that you get there 15 - 20 minutes in advance so you’ll be ready to roll at 6:00. You need something with wheels to participate, and a helmet is required. Other than that, just a willingness to have some fun riding in a group. I’ve ridden around that area on a 1982 10-speed, so I’d say you’ll be fine. You might want to start out with my group - we ride fewer miles, less intense hills, and a slower pace than the other two groups. If you feel like you want to go farther, faster, and do more hills, then you can go up a level next week.
Hope to see you! We’re a friendly group. I was intimidated at first too, but now I’m leading rides.
Karen
Where do house start from, not familiar with this area?
| From: triharder.karen@PROTECTED Looks like it might be clear and pleasant tomorrow evening. I plan on leading the slower and easier group around the same loop I did last week since only Larry and I were able to enjoy such a lovely ride. We clocked in at 15.2 miles. (I’d estimated 15, so I’m calling it statistically accurate, hahaha)
I’ve attached a map for anyone who’s looking for cues. It’s not an official OCC ride, so you’ll need to print it.
Hope to see you tomorrow. I’d prefer to have some company!
Karen! |

| From: lyon689@PROTECTED Hi Everyone Looks like there’s a slight possibility of rain. Keep an eye out for our resident meteorologist (AKA Brian) prediction. My group will be doing the Gillie-Hall Peru route. It’s a little hilly but a nice ride. Not sure how many ride leaders will be there for other options. Tom’s group will lead by Mike Schisvone and will be doing option 3. The PDF and GPS for both rides can be found at Tuesday Slow N’ Easy Rides – Onondaga Cycling Club | |
