It was a great night for the Time Trial!
Temperature around 74 degrees, low humidity and < 4mph WNW breeze. Finally no concerns about rain.
Eight TTers lined up to do battle with their inner demons while red-lining on the Fastest TT course East of the Mississippi. Our Fastest Man Time (FMT) was set by Ron Nelson. He eviscerated the course with his 2nd best time ever of 24:00 (25.0mph - nice round numbers!) . Not far behind with the FWT of 24:29 (24.51mph) was Susan Andersson. Her blistering pace was a PR by 37 seconds. Seeing her fast time motivated me to look up the fastest woman times... 1. Erika Zazzara 24:05 2. Amy Kneale 24:25 3. Susan Andersson 24:29
PRs were also set by Curt Andersson and Robin Jones. Others were very close to their PRs. Our course drone spotted Ken Toscano flying through the course and unfortunately could not clear out the woman walking her dog blissfully at the last turn on the course onto Black Creek. Ken had to abort mission and deploy his off road skills as he skidded off the road and into the woods. Luckily no harm came to body or bike, but he lost a significant amount of time. He certainly ended up better than Tom Skujins, although I did notice a little weaving as he crossed the finish line.
Thanks to Amy Kneale for (wo)manning the backup timing system.
Here are the times ! Pretty impressive!
