For some reason the actual conditions seem to consistently exceed the predicted conditions this year. I haven't touted the OCC Weather Control System lately for fear of raising the ire of Mother you know who. Heck, the TT season is almost over, so what do I care? With the exception of a couple of Tuesdays, we have had an exceptional year.
Tonight the temperature was 78 degrees, relatively high humidity and the SSW breeze surprisingly died off to almost nil. Estimated course speed rating of 9.1/10 .
5 TTers queued up at the start in anticipation of doing battle with the course and their respective bodies and minds. All had some unfinished business to do before the season ends. Tiago Barreira rocketed through the course in his 2nd best time ever - 22:08 (27.11mph). He managed to squeeze 1 second off of his time from last week and was only 8 seconds from his PR. Amy Kneale, somehow fresh off of her battles with the Pro/1/2 women in Green Mtn Stage Race last week, took the FWT. She was on a mission tonight. She decimated the course with a PR time of 24:06 (24.89mph). She missed the women's Course Record by a mere 1 second... to be precise .7 second. Chris Lamothe lowered his PR by 22 seconds with an impressive time of 23:37(25.40mph) . Ken Toscano keeps busting his PRs in the RoadAero division - reducing it by 10 seconds with a time of 25:15 (23.76mph). Sean Kesselring did not get his third consecutive identical time this week.... missing by 10 seconds.
We will again start at 6:00pm next week.
