The gusty winds of Tuesday late afternoon calmed substantially and we again had decent conditions for the Time Trial.    The direction also shifted slightly from the South to the Southeast.  This provided a slight tailwind for the first 3-5 miles of the course.

Moving up the start time to 5:45pm  may have created a few more concerns for our TTers.  Syracuse Haulers is still active on Smith Ridge at that time, a school bus was on the course and a couple of casual bike riders doing unexpected U-turns created some consternation for our speedy crew.

Four TTers queued up at the start time to attempt to slay the course and their demons or just to have a good hard workout Emoji    Our FMT was none other than the human rocket, Tiago Barreira, who scorched the course in a time of 22:34 (26.58mph). While he was disappointed in his time, all of us would kill for it.  Well, hmmmm...   I guess I shouldn't say that.   Not all that far behind was Chris Lamothe, who just missed breaking his PR set last week.  His power was a bit higher, but, he had to take his foot off the gas temporarily to avoid a situation. Smart move.   His time of 23:40 (25.36mph) was only 3 seconds slower that his PR.  Hopefully the warm weather will continue and he'll get another shot.  Phil Dilmore had his best time of the year even though he did the century ride Saturday...  His 27:16 (22.00mph) was only 13 seconds slower than his PR from last year.   Ken Toscano string of sub-25:40 times came to an end.  He was still recovering from his 20.1mph ave speed century ride on Saturday.

If the weather is agreeable, I will continue the TTs.   We'll take it week by week.

Now the results:
