Seven showed up to ride including two of our young mtn bike racers from the CNY Composite mtn bike kids club. I aways said that to get in shape for mtn bike racing one must ride on the road. Great to see them out. 

From the start we split into two groups. After about 10 minutes of riding the Second group came across the first group coming back the way we came. They shouted to us something about a train. Well up ahead sure enough there was a long freight train stopped across the road. Vehicles that were waiting for a while started turning around. The first group decided to turn around and find another route. The second group waited a few minutes and sure enough the train started up and moved out of the way.  The second group rode the entire ride as mapped out. Don't know where the first group went but I gave everyone 34 miles. 

My car said the temp at the start was 51 degrees. The car at the end said 44 degrees.  The wind died down  and the evening turned out beautiful. Another fab ride!!
