The conditions Tuesday night turned out to be pretty good. The breeze faded from the predicted 9mph to something less than 5mph by my estimate. The roads had almost completely dried out from the rain earlier in the day. There was still a smidge of dampness under the tree branches on Marsh Mill and Black Creek. The temperature was around 65 degrees. Comfortable.
We almost had the same TTers show up from the previous TT, but, unfortunately Ken couldn't quite make the earlier 5:30pm start. Dick Rybinski took FMT honors in the battle of the generational TT bikes with a time of 32:02 (18.73mph) . Team Rossin vs Team Trek ! His 1988 Rossin Funny bike armed with Mylar covers on the rear wheel vs a circa 2016 Trek Speed Concept ridden by Rich O'Neil.
Didn't some famous person, currently persona non grata, say "It's all about the bike" ? I'll have to check my library. I may have messed that up

This week Rossin takes the win. Perhaps a rematch is coming?
If the weather complies, I'll continue the TT season.
