I'm not opposed to the money per se. I think before we do though I would like to actually see the attendance sheets from last winter. I have a feeling that only a couple of OCCers used it and not regularly. I think Sam had said that numerous OCCers use it but talking to other tri club folks, they say it's not true the a lot of OCCers use it IF you don't count folks who have dual memberships.

I am forwarding this message from the CNY Tri Club president, Rich O’Neal

It’s getting cooler and cyclists are heading indoors to maintain fitness. One great solution is to spin at the Winter Training facility at Dunk & Bright on Salina St. Syracuse.

The CNY Triathlon club would like to strengthen our relationship with OCC and work together at WTF. We would like to see more OCC members attend and would like your members consider leading training sessions.

The Indoor (Winter) Training Facility
The WTF will open this year on Monday, October 31, then Wednesday, Nov 2nd and Saturday Nov 5th. That is the schedule for each week until late April. Monday and Wednesday are at 6PM, doors open at 5:30 pm. Saturday is 9 am, door opens 8:30 am All spin classes are free to members of OCC and the Tri Club. In the past about half of the participants have been OCC members.

On Saturday in addition to the spin class, we will have a CompuTrainer class, also starting at 9 am. The Computrainer Class will be by subscription and begins Saturday November 5th. We have 10 trainers and the first 10 to commit and pay for the season or month will have a position. Renewals for subsequent months will have the preference over those who are new. There will be an opportunity to “test ride” the system at reduced price. More information to follow.

Each participant must have a Covid 19 shot and two boosters, be healthy that session (not feel sick or if so, stay home).

We would like to encourage in-person training, thus, no zoom.

Spin Leaders
We would also like to recruit a few OCC members to lead spin classes. This could be full time, rotate in with current classes or substitute when a scheduled person can’t be there. Interested cyclists can contact me at president@PROTECTED
