It was another good time on the TT course Tuesday night.  The breeze faded to less than 4mph and the temperature was at the predicted 79 degrees.   Good conditions for the TTers!

Eight TTers rolled to the start line to do battle on the TT course.  It was an eventful night !   2 PRs were set as well as a course record.

The FMT was set by Tiago.  Not a surprise.  He has opted to go first which is probably best for the riders he would pass so they don't get knocked sideways by the turbulence as he flies by.   He almost literally flew through the course in a time of 21:33 (27.84mph).  That's only 12 seconds off from the PR he set a few weeks ago.     A new women's course record was set Tuesday night by Bonny Donzella.  She eclipsed the record by 15 seconds!   The record was previously semi co-shared by Erica Zazzara and Amy Kneale (24:05/24:06).  Bonny annihilated the course in a FWT of 23:50 (25.18mph).   That was 24 seconds better than her previous best two weeks ago.    Kaleb Toscano set his PR on what will be his first and last run in the course this year.  He is off to college to take his bike racing to the next level.  He smashed the course in a time of 25:24 (23.62mph) and in doing so took off 11 sec from his prev PR.  For the second time in the last two years he bested Dad (Ken) in the TT.   Ken did not go down without a fight with his usual impressive time of 25:36 (23.44mph).   Both are in the BikeAero division.

Chris rode without any data as feedback and still hammered out a 23:41(25.34mph).  Sean, Rich and Dick all rode best times for 2023.    Everyone is rounding out their form.  Good to see!

The exciting TdF is over and now I can get caught up on my sleep.   It was a great run.   Recover for a month until the Vuelta Espana starts on Aug 26th.  World champion Remco Evenepoel will defend his 2022 Vuelta win.   Check him out.  He will hopefully compete in the TdF next year.  He's a great time trialist.  He will give Pogacar/Vingegaard a hefty challenge.
