The weather forecast around 4ish looked to be improving. The chance of rain in Chittenango dropped to around 20%. BUT, Mother Nature can be very cruel. She raises your hopes and then dashes them away with a sly giggle. On my drive up to the TT course around 530pm the mist turned to a steady light rain. I drove the course to make sure there wasn't any debris on the course and really didn't expect anyone to be waiting at the start.
Well, lo and behold ! there was one TTer who really wanted to get timed on the course. Joselyn had rode the course last week as a guest and then become a club member so she could suffer some more

She is planning on competing in the NYS TT Championships in a couple of weeks and wanted to ride in the wet conditions just in case she faced the same conditions there.
It wasn't a particularly fast day considering the strong west wind, the wet conditions and the un-aero clothing. I drove as a pace car for her as she sliced through the course in a time that was only 35 seconds slower than her time last week. Very impressive considering the conditions!
