Agreed. Just got back from a ride out there. The north end of Black Creek at the corner would be deadly if you took it at anything more than a crawl. Was going to see if i could go out with my push broom but still probably wouldn't have ridden. It's sketchy at the south end (after the little rise) as well.
From: goetke1@PROTECTED The Madison County highway department giveth and taketh away. Chestnut Ridge repaving is mostly completed, but, unfortunately, Black Creek has been stoned. While the middle of Black Creek is getting packed down from local car traffic, there are still loose stones on the sides of the road. I don't feel that it safe enough to use for the Time Trial tomorrow. Lets give it another week to pack down.

As mentioned in earlier emails, Chestnut Ridge is getting milled and repaved. Therefore the TTs are cancelled. Hopefully, Madison County will be finished by next Tuesday.

PS: Huge finishing week for the TdF After today's flat stage, 3 mountain stages, a hilly stage and TT the final stage into Nice. Pogacar is in good position to win, but, will his legs wilt in pursuit of the Giro/TdF combo ? | |
