i was reminded by Zeke that Brighton Ave was not a good section for the Saturday Lafayette ride.
Many suggestions were made while waiting to leave for the ride. Coye was steep but there were alternatives like going to Jamesville via Nottingham then Apulia, Coye, Smoky Hollow, Banker then back to original route. This was a nice easy alternative.
13 stronger and some not as such started the ride.
Jim had a flat and I helped him with the dreaded Continental 5000 clincher.
There were two grind it out hills with steepness of 13%. The one out of Tully had a guy at his house saying he was sweating just watching us go up that hill. The down hills were equally thrilling.
A few riders showed up after the start.
And there was a couple of people that had been members showed up to ride and will or have joined the club. A nice ride to reacquaint with the club.
