Hello from your friendly recreational ride leader!
I’ve received enough positive responses to a 25 mile 4th of July ride that it’s been added as an option for those who’d prefer something shorter than 50 or 100 miles. I’ve attached a link.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. This ride starts at Lewis Park, in Minoa, not the Fayetteville starting location for the 50 & 100 mile rides. I’m sparing this group from the heavy traffic back into Fayetteville on the return.
2. If you’re reading this before the schedule is corrected, the ride time is 9:00, not 10:00. Please allow 15 minutes lead time to be ready to roll at 9:00
3. There has been interest expressed in a shorter ride - I can show an easy cutoff for 20 miles at the ride site. It will also be less hilly for my numerous rehabbing friends! Who knew there would be so many ortho surgeries over this past winter?!
4. According to the weather forecast, it’s going to be a cooler day than the past several years, but since most of the ride is out in the countryside , please come prepared with your hydration needs.
5. If you need a paper map, please print and bring with you. My printer and I don’t see eye to eye!
6. Out of town guests are welcome and always add to the group.
Our purpose is to have fun and leave no rider behind! You’re welcome to ride ahead as long as you know where you’re going. 😅 Hope to see you on Friday!
