Mother Nature delivered the hot temperatures and light winds as predicted. Temperatures ranged from 84-87degrees on the course depending on how much shade there was.
Five TTers rolled to the start line. We had a first-timer - welcome Nigel !
Ken T recovered adequately from his weekend rides to smoke the course in an impressive FMT of 26:11 (22.92mph) in the RoadAero category. Nigel crushed his predicted time estimate by about 2 minutes as he blasted through the course in a time of 27:33(21.78mph) to take the best time in the Road category.
Everyone else had a strong efforts especially considering the temperatures. Good to see Gordy come out for the first time in over 3 years!
Next week the temperatures are supposed to be more than 10 degrees cooler. Supposedly the wind will be out of the favorable SE direction.... could be a fast night. We shall see.
For those of you suffering from TdF withdrawal, the Vuelta Espana starts on Aug 23rd !
