Tuesday evening brought comfortable temperatures (low 70s) and light winds (a fading 6mph WSW). This cooler air may be approx 10 seconds slower than last week (not considering the wind difference), but reduces the possibility of the human engines overheating.
Four intrepid TTers rolled to the start line. Mike (Hop) crushed the course in a time of 24:41 (24.31mph) and in doing so took the "Fastest Man" honors. He missed his PR by on 11 seconds. Mo showed up for his 2026 inaugural TT and acquitted himself well with an outstanding time of 25:08 (23.87mph). Sam challenged himself for the 2nd consecutive week after a five year hiatus. It's quite impressive how he's able to leap out of his car, jump on the TT bike and hit the course without any warm-up! Mark P continued his progress from injuries to improve upon his time from late last year by 53 seconds.
The two people that rode last week were on average 13 seconds slower this week. The temperature difference would account for about 10 seconds of this. The difference in air pressure was negligible.
Next Tuesday is looking pretty good. See ya at the start!
