We had another spectacular Tuesday night for a Time Trial. Different venue, same result. Temperature in the mid-70s with a NNW wind around 8 mph. 

I'm glad I took Chuck up on his suggestion to try out the Syr Race Week Time Trial course. It not only brought out our largest number of participants, but it also allowed us to avoid the newly oiled&stoned portion of Kirkville Rd on our usual course.  Talk about serendipity!

We had 19 participants wheel to the start line of the 10.7 mile course  - 5 of them new-comers!    

Dave Faso clocked the fastest time of the night with a blistering 24:30 (26.2 mph).   Alex Johnson edged Dennis Williams by 1 second to take the silver with a 25:29 (25.2 mph). The fastest woman was Stephanie Tashjian with a 31:03 (20.7 mph).  The fastest youth was Mariana Rinaldo with a 31:18 (20.5 mph).   

The course on average was about .3 - .6 mph slower than the Chittenango TT course.  Two were about the same speed,  Robin Jones and Eric Bansbach.  Two were actually a bit faster,   Stephanie and Mariana!

Other notable notes:  Eric blew a tire just minutes before the start and Tim Leonard rescued him by letting him borrow his backup aero rear wheel.   Way to go Tim!     Ben Rabin's bike just picked up the bike shop discovered that his electronic shifting was dead on arrival.  He was forced to single speed the course on his small chain ring in what looked to be his 15 tooth cog at best.  There were reports that smoke was seen coming off his bottom bracket as he spun at 150 rpm the whole way!
